Who is Amber & Oak?  Well, I guess it is me and my imagination.  I have had this idea of an interior design studio for some time and this is me trying to get it out of my heard and out here for others to see.  Whether or not anyone will want to see this is all a part of the excitement!

My name is Jodi McComb and no, I don't look like a succulent.  I just don't seem to have a photo of myself that doesn't include a snapchat filter or one of my kids or dogs doing something foul behind me.  

 

Design has always been an enormous part of who I am as a person.  Interior design has been an obsession of mine for a very very long time....along with a lot of other things...coffee.....donuts......golden retrievers...but lets get back on track here.  I get distracted easily.  My mind tends to get drawn to pretty things.  I know what I like and I definitely know what I do not like,

I always see beyond spaces and see what their potential can be.  All spaces are filled with opportunities no matter how bad their current state may be....and boy have some seen some real dumps.  I know that a room can be a place of retreat if you let it shine properly. I love turning run down spaces and transforming them into something wonderful and aesthetically pleasing.

My interior design passion and work has been hands on through multiple house renovations and moves.  I could never afford the "perfectly" finished house and nor would I want to.  I would rather break out the sledgehammer and make a house a home with my own two hands, feet and heart.
